Huang Zitao (), most commonly known as Tao (born May 2, 1993), is a Chinese rapper, singer, actor, songwriter and martial artist. As a former member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO, he was active for three years as the lead rapper for the group's Chinese based unit, EXO-M. In the summer of 2015, Huang, under the newly adapted stage name Z.Tao, made his solo debut with his digital mini-album "T.A.O.". This debut album would proceed to break an unprecedented number of digital sales records by selling a total of 670,000 within its first week of release. Following the success of his debut as a solo artist, Huang has expressed a desire to continue as a musician with the goal of seeing C-Pop receive more global recognition. ==Early life & Pre-Debut== Huang Zitao was born in Qingdao, Shandong, China. Due to his mischievous nature as a child, his father placed him in martial arts training at the age of five. Huang practiced Wushu throughout his adolescence and competed in several martial arts championships in his hometown. In late 2010, he reluctantly accompanied a friend to "MBC Star Audition" which was hosting a global talent search. In the midst of pop star hopefuls, Huang auditioned with a practiced Wushu routine and was scouted immediately by a representative from SM Entertainment. His brief trainee period spanned for a little less than a year and on December 27, 2011 he was formally introduced as the third member of EXO. Huang made his first television debut at the SBS Gayo Daejeon event on December 29, 2011〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=111229 SBS Gayo Daejun EXO- Cut )〕
